What this site collects
velocerolab.com is a static site with no accounts, forms, newsletters, advertising or social media widgets.
We use PostHog to measure pages viewed, links and buttons clicked, traffic sources, reading time and technical browser information (device type, operating system and language). PostHog receives your IP address to process the request and determine an approximate location; the project is configured to discard that address from stored events.
Analytics identifiers exist only in memory and reset on each page load. No analytics cookie or identifier is kept in browser storage. The statistics therefore cannot accurately count unique people or journeys across pages. We do not identify visitors or record session videos.
The measurement script is provided by PostHog Cloud in the United States, in the same project as Sauna Metrics; our dashboard separates websites by domain. This project has a seven-year event query window. That window does not guarantee automatic deletion at its end. See PostHog’s privacy policy and retention documentation.
You can turn measurement off below. Only this choice is stored locally, without an identifier. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals also prevent measurement from starting. Your choice stops future sends; it does not remove events already received.
We also count visits from search engine and AI assistant crawlers after verifying their network origin. These events concern bots, not human visitors. Google Search Console separately provides aggregate statistics about visibility in Google.
Server logs of the host
The site is hosted by Netlify, Inc. (United States). Like any web host, Netlify receives your IP address and the technical details of each request (page, time, browser) to deliver the pages and protect its network. Netlify keeps these connection logs for a limited time under its own privacy policy. We do not use them to identify visitors. Legal basis: the legitimate interest of the host in operating a secure service (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
